Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lead Star (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. The Service is intended for use by businesses and contractors, not individual consumers.

2. Description of Service

Lead Star provides AI-powered lead generation for solar installation and roofing contractors. The Service includes: AI-scored lead delivery via a web dashboard; exclusive territory claiming by ZIP code; automated email outreach via AI ghostwriter agents; metered billing for Sales Accepted Leads (SALs); and analytics and pipeline management tools.

3. Account & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and represent a legitimate business entity to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Lead Star offers tiered subscription plans (Starter, Growth, Enterprise) billed monthly. Each plan includes a set number of SALs per month. Usage beyond your plan’s SAL quota is billed at the per-SAL overage rate for your tier.

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with up to 10 SALs. No credit card is required for the trial. After the trial period, a paid subscription is required to continue using the Service.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing dashboard or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

5. Territory Exclusivity

When you claim a ZIP code territory, leads generated within that territory are delivered exclusively to you for your vertical (e.g., solar or roofing). Territory limits depend on your subscription tier. Territories may be released if your subscription lapses or is cancelled. We reserve the right to limit territory claims in high-demand areas to maintain service quality.

6. Lead Quality & Disclaimer

Lead Star uses AI to score and qualify leads based on publicly available data. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that every lead will result in a sale or that all lead data is complete and error-free. Lead scores are estimates based on available data and should be used as one factor in your sales process.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use leads for any purpose other than legitimate business outreach for the vertical you subscribe to; resell, redistribute, or share leads with third parties; use the Service to send spam or make unsolicited calls in violation of applicable laws (including TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and state do-not-call regulations); attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform; or use automated tools to access the Service outside of our provided API.

8. Compliance

You are responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws when contacting leads, including but not limited to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CAN-SPAM Act, and state-specific licensing requirements for your trade. Lead Star does not provide legal advice regarding compliance.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lead Star shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or fail to pay outstanding invoices. Upon termination, your access to the Service and any claimed territories will be revoked.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify subscribers of material changes at least 30 days in advance via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Travis County, Texas.
